RED DISH || Chilli Beef Brisket Filo Pastry Parcels


Serves 2 


  • Chilli beef brisket - refer to members page for recipe 
  • 2 sheets of filo pastry 
  • Goats cheese (feta can be used as an alternative)
  • Nigella seeds (optional)
  • 1 beaten egg 


  • 2 handfuls of Spinach 
  • 1/2 red onion 
  • 8 cherry tomatoes 
  • Olive oil 


  1. Cut filo sheet in half and trim off sides to give 2 squares
  2. Brush one square lightly with melted butter
  3. Lay second pastry square on top with corners offset as shown, brush again.
  4. Lay pastry on a baking sheet and place chilli beef in centre, and top with the goats cheese
  5. Bring up corners and edges of pastry around filling
  6. Pinch pastry together at just above filling so corners stand up or gently fold down
  7. Brush outside with melted butter and sprinkle with the nigella seeds 
  8. Bake in the oven according to pastry instructions 
  9. Mix the salad and serve with the parcels
